Ty, a young man that feels he has committed an unforgivable act, is on the run and not sure where to turn for help. But what he doesn’t realize is he is being pursued by our forgiving and loving Heavenly Father! God’s love is relentless and ever pursuing. No matter who we are, or what we’ve done, He still loves us and wants us to come home. This video with Kirk Cameron will touch your heart!
While on the cross, Jesus prayed “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing,” He said it without any bitterness, anger or resentment in His heart for His accusers. He was able to pray this prayer with a pure heart right in the middle of his own pain.
Forgiveness is an act of love and the heart of Jesus towards His accusers and killers was a heart of love. The disciples as they watched Jesus forgive his enemies on the cross must have wondered what He really meant when He taught them, “ Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you” – Luke 6:27-28.
