The ‘Omega Generation’ Music Band

Omega people

Sumit Pinto, Yashab Masih, Ashish David, Jonty Jaswal and Anurag Joseph

Last weekend we had a sensational time with a music band from Nagpur, called the ‘Omega Generation’. They sang songs glorifying God and magnifying what He has done for us. There was this time factor that restricted us, to sing for another couple of hours more, as we found ourselves so charged up, that even after they had stopped, our high spirits just lingered on till we dispersed.

So proud to say that their music was crisp, catchy and compelling for us to blend our hearts and voices to sing along, more so to dance to the beat, letting go of all our inhibitions making it so fulfilling.

While we participated with their talents, we also heard each of their life’s testimonies and how God merged them into formation, to show people everywhere they go, that it’s not about them or their capabilities, but it’s about their God, who purposed their lives.  It’s about spreading the love of Christ, the healing that flows because of His love, and the freedom that comes because of His healing.

Life was tough on each one of these band members; they were hard pressed with struggles – in finances, in relationships, in addictions, calamities that brought pain and sorrow and hopelessness.  But in all of this they found – Hope in God!

Their response during the hard times is what I marveled at, and I have concluded it this way:

  • They worshipped God in their despair! Knowing that He alone has the answer for all their problems. So instead of lamenting, they chose to spend time singing songs and repenting and crying out for His loving touch. Worshipping God especially in difficult times is our voice of love and genuine admiration towards Him.
  • They stand together in unity. Unity has the power to accomplish anything that’s decided upon.  So putting their strengths, assets and abilities together, they boost each other up moving forward, to fulfill the divine purpose until their very end, as their band name suggests “Omega”, defined as the last of something.
  • They have faith and hope in Christ. As the testing of their faith has produced endurance, patience and character in them, they seem so hopeful for their future.

These young musicians are a witness of God’s goodness and teach us that though we are imperfect God loves us perfectly and desire to use us for His kingdom.

Omega Generation – Great going with God!
